Creepy looking house.

For my street i was going to be doing a street with inspiration from the films 'Cat in The Hat' and 'Edward Scissorhands'. The name for them over in america is Suburbs ... I was basing my street mainly on the street from Edward Scissorhands because I thought it may be different. What i liked about this street was that it is almost perfect .. but at the end of the street there is a big creepy house .. it's almost like reality fantasy in one.

My 3D house so far.

This is an image of my 3D street so far, it took me a while to get used to 3Ds Max, i really found it confusing at first, but i think iv'e been getting into the stride of it and getting the hang of it. I'm really happy with this so far but i still need to improve things.

Research.

My initial idea was to create a street around the idea of 'Edward Scissorhand' street based on the film.

But i now want to change my idea slightly, by changing it and adding some of my own ideas. Like different types of texture for the road and so on. So making it more like somewhere in Plymouth with the Dark tarmac roads. Just to add a bit more of Plymouth to my 3D street.

3D glass

I made a 3D glass in 3D max. The process is quite long but when its finished it looks good and professional.

I managed to get the glass texture from google to add the proper effect to the glass. The Shine was all created using 3D max.

Basic Lampost in 3D max.

We made a simple lampost in 3D max, it took a bit of time .. but in the end i wasn't to bad.

Getting textures from pictures.

we took the windows from this picture and added into another brickwork picture.
We made our own picture of this picture by taking the window and photoshopping it onto different brickwork.

3D street

We went out to take photographs of the street ... we will be using these photos to help design our urban street for our 3D project.

We will be designing our own street in 3D max.

The street i want to design will be something like a fantasy street .. almost like a dream.

Creating a Crate in 3D max

The first lesson we were shown in 3D max was how to create a crate.
